5 Minute Writing (1)
Well, I will start off the new blog (after it being wiped out by a hacker) with a short bit of writing I did. I’ll call it the 5 minute writings. I take a quick prompt I find somewhere, and write for five minutes. These won’t be much, but I hope they are enjoyable. Very little thought has gone into these, and only a little editing. Here we go.
Prompt:
It’s not often that a damsel truly needs rescuing, it’s even less often that one falls from the sky.
Writing:
It’s not often that a damsel truly needs rescuing, it’s even less often that one falls from the sky. Of course it wasn’t the most normal of days from the beginning. The princess falling from the sky just happened to top the pile–literally. There was a screaming from above, and as Anton looked up he saw a fluttering of cloth. It was falling rather fast, getting larger as it got closer. He squinted his eyes to get a better look. Legs kicked around in the air, and he could see the form of a woman twirling around. All that he could do was gawk in awe at the sight. There was no time for him to do anything more. She sped down, and landed in the large pile of hay that he had been gathering together from his farming. Straws flew everywhere as she hit, the pile exploding and then falling in on itself over the damsel. Everything became silent at that point. Anton did not know what to do. He had seen a girl fall from the sky. That had never happened before. Well, at least not from anything higher than the second story of a barn.
